Arts_Bridge Sequential_Detail
1. 400 mm Cast-In-Place (CIP), reinforced Concrete Wall and 300mm CIP Floor Slab structure are constructed.
2. Curtain wall end infill rod is set in place.
3. Self adhesive Air/Vapour barrier is applied on the exterior side of the wall and slab end. A/V barrier is wrapped over curtain wall infill rod.
4. Curtain wall support brackets and metal-panel structural outriggers are installed.
5. Thermally broken rainscreen facade support system is anchored to concrete wall. Connections are sealed to ensure continuity of A/V Barrier.
6. Curtain wall support frame is attached to support brackets. (Curtain wall is Schuco FW50+ Thermally broken system)
7. 150mm Extruded Polystyrene (XPS) [R5/in.] rigid insulation is mechanically fastened to concrete structure between Z-girts.
8. 12mm XPS rigid insulation is applied to top of floor structure. hydronic radiant floor piping is positioned over the insulation layer.
9. 38mm concrete finish top layer is poured in place around hydronic lines and sealed.
10. Mullion interior finish stud and aluminum finish plate are installed.
11. Curtain wall glazing and spandrel panels are mounted into curtain wall frame. Mullion pressure plates and caps are installed.
12. Light-guage facade mounting channels are attached to Z-girts.
13. 2550mm x 1220mm x 8mm Equitone fibre cement panels are mechanically fastened to furring channels.
14. Steel awning structure is erected on steel columns anchored to grade foundation. This steel structure is connected to building structure through thermally broken steel outriggers. This tie-back provides shear resistance.
15. Steel awning structure provides glazing and metal panel mounting stand-offs as well as an integrated drainage channel system.
16. Glass awning panel is connected to stand-offs on awning structure members.
17. Perforated steal soffit panel is installed onto awning structure and bottom side of concrete floor structure over exterior entrance vestibule.
18. Perforated metal panel system is mechanically fastened onto awning structure stand
Wall Assembly:
- 400mm CIP reinforced concrete structural wall

- 30mm air space w/ LG furring channels
- 8mm Equitone fibre cement cladding panels
- 200-400mm air space w/ awning structure at entrances
- 5mm pre-patinated perforated metal panels
Floor Assembly:
- 32mm Finish Concrete floor w/ embedded 3/4” hydronic piping
- 12mm XPS Rigid Insulation
- 300mm CIP concrete floor structure
- A/V Barrier
- 150mm XPS rigid soffit insulation
- 5mm perforated metal panel soffit cladding
